When we make an argument we support it with evidence. An argument is a claim we make. Evidence is what we use to support it. Evidence can be facts. It can be numbers. It can be examples from real life. Strong arguments use evidence that is true. We check our facts. We also consider other points of view. What might someone else say? If we only look at one side we might miss important ideas. Good thinkers use evidence. They stay open to new information. They change their mind when the evidence shows they should. Using evidence helps us make better decisions. It helps us understand the world.
