Argumentative writing is a way to express your opinion on a topic and convince others to agree with you. It starts with a clear statement called a thesis, which tells what you believe. You then give reasons and examples to support your opinion. For instance, if you think school should start later, you might explain how more sleep helps students focus better in class. You also should address other viewpoints and explain why your opinion is stronger. This helps your reader understand both sides but shows them why you think yours is best!
