Multiplying fractions involves taking two fractions and finding the product, or the result when they are multiplied together. To do this, you multiply the numerators (the top numbers) together and the denominators (the bottom numbers) together. For example, if you multiply 1/2 by 3/4, you first multiply 1 (the numerator of the first fraction) by 3 (the numerator of the second fraction) to get 3. Then, you multiply 2 (the denominator of the first fraction) by 4 (the denominator of the second fraction) to get 8. So, 1/2 times 3/4 equals 3/8. This means that if you take half of three-quarters of something, you end up with three-eighths of that whole.
