Ecosystems are communities of living things, like plants and animals, interacting with their environment. Each ecosystem has different parts, including producers, consumers, and decomposers. For example, in a forest ecosystem, trees (producers) make food from sunlight, deer (consumers) eat the plants, and fungi (decomposers) break down dead matter. Biomes are large regions that contain similar ecosystems, shaped by climate and geography. The rainforest biome is known for its warm temperatures and heavy rainfall, supporting a wide variety of plants and animals. Together, ecosystems and biomes show how life is connected and depends on each other for survival.
