Electromagnetic force is one of the four fundamental forces in nature, responsible for the interactions between charged particles. This force can either attract or repel particles depending on their charges: like charges repel each other, while opposite charges attract. Electromagnetic force is what allows atoms to hold together, forming the matter around us. It also plays a key role in electricity and magnetism. For example, when you rub a balloon on your hair, the balloon becomes negatively charged, while your hair becomes positively charged. This causes the balloon to stick to the wall, demonstrating how electromagnetic force can create visible effects. Understanding this force helps explain many everyday phenomena, from why magnets stick to refrigerators to how lightning occurs during a storm.
