Gravity is a force that pulls objects toward one another. It is what keeps us on the ground and makes things fall when dropped. The strength of gravity depends on two factors: the mass of the objects and the distance between them. For example, Earth has a much larger mass than a small rock, so it exerts a strong gravitational pull on the rock, keeping it on the ground. If you were to travel to the Moon, you would weigh less because the Moon has less mass than Earth, resulting in weaker gravity. This is why astronauts can jump higher on the Moon than on Earth. Gravity also affects the orbits of planets, keeping them in motion around the Sun. Without gravity, life as we know it would be very different!
