Bacteria and Viruses

๐ŸงชLab Brief #38

Atomic Structure.

๐ŸŽฏ Your mission

Predict it first. Then prove yourself right (or wrong).

โšก The twist

Mixing two safe things doesn't always make a safe thing.

๐Ÿคฏ

Mind = Blown

๐Ÿ’ง Hot water can freeze faster than cold water under the right conditions. Nobody fully understands why.

๐Ÿ”ฎ

Make a hypothesis first

Predict: will the mixture get hotter, colder, or stay the same?

What You'll Learn

Bacteria are tiny single-celled organisms that live almost everywhere, and while some cause disease, many are helpful, like those that break down food in our intestines. Viruses are even smaller and can only reproduce by invading the living cells of another organism.
