The process of how a bill becomes a law in the United States involves several steps that ensure thorough examination and debate. Initially, a bill is introduced in either the House of Representatives or the Senate, where it is assigned to a committee for review. If the committee approves the bill, it is then debated and voted on by the entire chamber. If passed, the bill moves to the other chamber for a similar process.
