The process of how a bill becomes a law is a fundamental aspect of the legislative system in the United States. First, a bill is introduced in either the House of Representatives or the Senate, where it is debated and amended. If approved by a majority, it moves to the other chamber for consideration. After both chambers agree on the final version, the bill is sent to the President for approval. If the President signs the bill, it becomes law; however, if the President vetoes it, Congress can override the veto with a two-thirds majority vote.
