Early humans, known as Homo sapiens, emerged approximately 300,000 years ago and lived during the Stone Age, a period marked by the development and use of stone tools. This epoch is divided into three phases: the Paleolithic, Mesolithic, and Neolithic. During the Paleolithic era, humans were primarily hunter-gatherers, relying on foraging and hunting for sustenance. The subsequent Neolithic Revolution, around 10,000 BCE, led to the advent of agriculture, allowing for the establishment of permanent settlements and the rise of complex societies.
