Then & Now

๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ People still argue about this. Now you'll see why.

World War I, often referred to as The Great War, lasted from 1914 to 1918 and involved many of the world's great powers divided into two main alliances: the Allies and the Central Powers. The war was characterized by trench warfare and significant loss of life, with new military technologies such as machine guns and tanks emerging on the battlefield. The causes of the war can be traced to a complex web of alliances, nationalism, imperialism, and militarism, leading to an unprecedented global conflict. The Treaty of Versailles in 1919 formally ended the war but also set the stage for future geopolitical tensions, particularly in Europe.
