Then & Now

๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ The choices made back then are why the world looks like this now.

The Russian Revolution, which unfolded in 1917, was a pivotal moment in world history that led to the rise of the Soviet Union. It consisted of two main phases: the February Revolution, which resulted in the abdication of Tsar Nicholas II and the establishment of a provisional government, and the October Revolution, where the Bolsheviks, led by Vladimir Lenin, seized power. The revolution was fueled by widespread discontent due to military failures in World War I, economic hardship, and social inequality. The subsequent civil war between the Red Army (Bolsheviks) and the White Army (anti-Bolsheviks) solidified communist rule and fundamentally altered the course of Russian society and governance.
