Impressionism: Painting Light Like Monet (Part 2)

Choose a view outside your window or a landscape photo. You will paint it focusing on light, not detail.

Use short, choppy brushstrokes. Do not blend colors on the canvas—place them side by side.

Avoid black for shadows. Instead, use purple, deep blue, and dark green.

Step back often. From a distance, the individual strokes merge into a glowing scene.
