Rule of Thirds

Practice rule of thirds in this art lesson: rule of thirds.

🎨 Studio Brief #1

The rule of thirds divides your picture into a 3x3 grid.

🎯 Your mission

Trust your hands more than your head.

⚡ The twist

Don't fix mistakes. Build with them.

What you'll learn

Step 2 of 4

Place your main subject at one of the four intersection points, not in the center.

Step 3 of 4

Add secondary elements along the grid lines.

Step 4 of 4

Compare with a centered version of the same subject. Which is more visually interesting?
