Create a cosmic galaxy scene with watercolors.

🎯 Your mission

Splash colors that don't usually hang out together.

⚡ The twist

Skip the color you'd normally pick.

What you'll learn

Create a cosmic galaxy scene with watercolors. Layer dark blues, purples, and blacks, then splatter white paint for stars. The wet-on-wet technique creates nebula-like effects.

Step 1 of 3

Wet your paper thoroughly. Drop in deep blue and purple watercolor, letting them spread and merge.

Step 2 of 3

While still wet, add touches of magenta and teal. Tilt the paper gently to encourage blending.

Step 3 of 3

Let it dry completely. Then add a second layer of darker values for depth.
