🎯 Your mission

Spend 10 quiet minutes with this project.

⚡ The twist

Don't fix mistakes. Build with them.

What you'll learn

How you crop (frame) an image dramatically changes its impact. A close crop on a face creates intimacy. A wide shot creates context. Experiment with viewfinder cropping.

Step 1 of 3

Cut a small rectangle from cardboard to use as a viewfinder.

Step 2 of 3

Hold it over a photograph or painting. Move it around to find the most dramatic crop.

Step 3 of 3

Draw or paint just what you see through the viewfinder—not the whole image.
