Cropping for Impact (Part 21)

Cut a small rectangle from cardboard to use as a viewfinder.

Hold it over a photograph or painting. Move it around to find the most dramatic crop.

Draw or paint just what you see through the viewfinder—not the whole image.

Try three different crops of the same subject and compare the emotional impact.
