Paint Like Mondrian: Geometric Abstraction (Part 4)

Use a ruler to draw a grid of black lines on white paper. Vary the sizes of the rectangles.

Choose a few rectangles to fill with red, yellow, or blue. Leave most of them white.

Paint the black lines with a flat brush and black paint. Make them thick and even.

Evaluate the balance: does one side feel heavier? Adjust by adding or removing color.
