Work backwards from the goal: what would be enough to prove it? Write each step with its reason, and refuse any step whose reason is "it looks like it". Check with a second measurement from a different distance — the answers should agree. Label which sides were opposite, adjacent and hypotenuse in each setup. List what would have to be true for that shape: which sides parallel, which equal, which angles. Calculate the slopes and distances needed and check each condition. Write the conclusion as a proper argument, not just a set of calculations. Then try to prove it's something stronger — a rhombus, a rectangle — and see if it holds.
