A SOLID ANSWER Three sentences, all about the same moment, in the order it happened. Not yet Getting there Solid 2 ZOOM IN You need: Paper, Pencil They tell you about their day out loud. Pick the most interesting ten seconds of it. "That bit. Just that bit. Tell me it again, slowly." Sketch three boxes: first, next, last. They draw a quick picture in each. Write one or two sentences under each box. Read it back and ask for one detail you can see, hear or smell to be added somewhere. SAY THIS WHEN IT STALLS "Don't tell me the whole day — tell me the best ten seconds of it." They dictate and you scribe, then they copy one sentence of it themselves. Add how they felt, and end with a sentence that isn't "it was fun".
