Be the person who knows what the weather did all week.

1 week🔬 Science🔢 Math✏️ Writing

What you need

  • a window
  • paper
  • a cup left outside if it rains

Nothing to buy and nothing to print — if you do not have one of these, swap it for whatever you do have.

The steps

Day 1

  • Make the chart

Draw five boxes and label them with the days.

    🎨 Draw it

Day 2

  • Same time every day

At the same time each day, look outside and draw a symbol: sun, cloud, rain, wind.

    🎨 Draw it

Say this: “Same time each day, or we are not comparing the same thing.

Day 3

  • Warmer or colder

Is today warmer or colder than yesterday? How can you tell without a thermometer?

Day 4

  • Catch the rain

If it rains, leave a straight-sided cup outside and see how deep the water gets.

    🔢 Write the number down

Day 5

  • What kind of week

Say one sentence about the whole week. Was it a rainy week or a sunny week?

    ✍️ Write a few sentences
