Build it together: Build a pyramid

What you need

  • sugar cubes, blocks or folded paper
  • a base board
  • glue or tape

Steps

  1. Decide the base size together. The youngest counts the blocks.
  2. Work out how many blocks each layer needs, and why it shrinks.
  3. Build it. Somebody will make it lean; that is part of it.
  4. Each person writes one sentence about what surprised them.

Read aloud to everyone

Any picture book about the Nile — the youngest picks it.
