Build it together: The family weather station

What you need

  • a straight-sided jar
  • a thermometer if you have one
  • paper for charts

Steps

  1. Set the jar out somewhere open. Mark the level each morning.
  2. Youngest draws the sky; oldest records the numbers.
  3. At the end of the fortnight, chart it together.
  4. Everyone predicts next week. Write the predictions down.
