How to find half of 56
- 1Half means splitting 56 into 2 equal groups, so work out 56 ÷ 2.
- 2Split 56 into its tens and its ones: 50 and 6.
- 3Halve each part on its own — half of 50 is 25, and half of 6 is 3.
- 4Add the two halves back together: 25 + 3 = 28.
