Learn about drum circle rhythms (part 3): understand dotted rhythms and their values

🎵 Stage Brief #58

Quarter notes get one beat each.

🎯 Your mission

Feel the beat. Clap with it. Don't lose it.

⚡ The twist

Tempo isn't speed for the sake of it — it's the heartbeat of the song.

What you'll learn

Quarter notes get one beat each. Eighth notes are faster: two of them fit in one beat. Try clapping four quarter notes, then eight eighth notes in the same time!

Remember

1Understand dotted rhythms and their values
