Change One Sound, Make a New Word

Words are built from sounds, so changing just one sound makes a new word. This game trains your ears and eyes. Start with 'cat'. Change the first sound /k/ to /h/ and you get 'hat'. Change the middle sound /a/ to /u/ and 'hat' becomes 'hut'.
