Numbers can be grouped into two types: odd and even. Even numbers can be divided by 2 without any leftovers, like 2, 4, and 6. Odd numbers, like 1, 3, and 5, can't be divided by 2 evenly, so they have 1 left over. For example, if you have 4 apples, you can pair them up perfectly, but with 5 apples, one apple will always be left out. This helps us understand how numbers work together!
