Measuring inches helps us find out how long or tall something is! An inch is a small unit of length, and there are 12 inches in a foot. To measure something, you can use a ruler. For example, if you want to measure a pencil, you place the pencil next to the ruler and see where it ends. If the pencil reaches 5 marks on the ruler, then it is 5 inches long!
