Asking the Librarian for Help

Learn how to ask a librarian to help you find a great book.

Librarians know a lot about books, and helping kids find them is part of their job. It is okay to ask! Tell the librarian what you like and what you have read. For example: 'I liked a book about a funny pig. Do you have more silly animal books?

' Or: 'I want a true book about volcanoes that is not too hard. ' The more you tell them, the better they can help. Librarians can also show you new books, popular series, and books that other kids your age enjoy.
