Review: Sight Words in a Story

Read a short story full of sight words and spot the heart words.

Let's use all your sight words at once. Read this little story: 'Once there was a girl who could not find her shoe. She said, "Where is it? I have to go!" Her mom looked here and there. Then they saw it under the dog. It was done being a pillow!

' Count the heart words: once, was, who, could, said, where, have, to, they, saw, done. That is most of the story! Because you know them in a snap, you can read the whole thing smoothly and enjoy the funny ending.

• 1Stories are full of sight words.
• 2Knowing them in a snap frees you to enjoy the story.
