The Butterfly Garden

We have a butterfly garden in our yard. We planted flowers that butterflies like. One day a big butterfly landed on a purple flower. Its wings were orange and black. We stood very still. We did not want to scare it. The butterfly did not fly away. It stayed for a long time. We could see its thin legs. We could see its curled tongue. It was drinking from the flower. Then it flew to the next flower. It visited every flower in the garden. We have many flowers. The butterflies love them. We see new butterflies every week. We love to watch them. We learned that butterflies need flowers to survive. We are glad we made a place for them.
