Perimeter is the distance around a shape. To find the perimeter, you add up the lengths of all the sides. For example, if you have a rectangle that is 4 meters long and 3 meters wide, you would add 4 + 3 + 4 + 3, which equals 14 meters. So, the perimeter of the rectangle is 14 meters. Understanding perimeter helps us know how much space goes around an object!
