Quotation marks are special punctuation marks used to show when someone is speaking. They look like this: โ€œ โ€. When you write a sentence with dialogue, you place quotation marks around the exact words that are spoken. For example, if Tom says, "I love ice cream!", the quotation marks tell us those are Tom's exact words. Remember to start a new line if a different person speaks!
