Plants have special features called adaptations that help them survive in their environment. For example, cacti grow in deserts where it's very hot and dry. They have thick stems that store water and spines instead of leaves to reduce water loss. Another example is the tall trees in rainforests, which have wide leaves to catch sunlight and grow tall to reach above other plants. These adaptations help plants get what they need to live and grow in their unique homes.
