The Earth is made up of four main layers: the crust, mantle, outer core, and inner core. The crust is the thin, hard surface we walk on, while the mantle is a thick layer of hot, flowing rock beneath it. The outer core is made of liquid metal and surrounds the inner core, which is solid and extremely hot. For example, the crust is like the skin of an apple, and the mantle is like the fruit inside. Together, these layers help shape our planet!
