Rounding numbers helps us make them easier to work with. When rounding, we look at the number in the place immediately to the right of the place we want to round. If that number is 5 or higher, we round up. If itโ€™s 4 or lower, we round down. For example, if we want to round the number 67 to the nearest ten, we look at the 7. Since 7 is more than 5, we round up to 70.
