Map reading helps us understand and use maps to find places. Maps show us where things are located, using symbols and a scale. For example, a map of your town might have a symbol for a park, and the scale tells you how far away it is from your school. When you look at a map, you can see streets and buildings, which helps you figure out how to get from one place to another!
