Democracy is a way for people to choose their leaders and make decisions together. In a democracy, everyone has a voice and can vote on important issues. For example, in the United States, citizens vote for the president every four years. This means that the leader is chosen by the people, and they can change if the majority wants someone new. Democracy helps ensure that everyone’s opinion matters!
