An array is a way to organize objects in rows and columns, like a garden with flowers planted in neat rows. To find the area of an array, you multiply the number of rows by the number of columns. For example, if you have 3 rows of apples and 4 columns, the area is 3 times 4, which equals 12. This means there are 12 apples in total! Arrays help us see patterns and make counting easier.
