The area of a rectangle is the space inside it. To find the area, you multiply the length by the width. For example, if a rectangle has a length of 5 units and a width of 3 units, you calculate the area by doing 5 times 3. This means the area is 15 square units. So, whenever you want to know how much space is in a rectangle, just remember to multiply the length by the width!
