I lost my favorite hat. It was blue with a star on it. I had left it somewhere at school. I looked in my classroom. I looked in the cafeteria. I looked on the playground. I could not find it. I went to the lost and found. There was a big box full of stuff. I dug through it. There were gloves and scarves and water bottles. Suddenly I saw something blue. It was my hat. I was so happy. I had discovered that the lost and found is a good place to look. Perhaps other kids had found my hat and turned it in. I decided to always put my name in my things. That way if I lost something again people would know it was mine. I thanked the person in the office. The adventure of the lost hat had a happy ending. I wore my hat home.
