Ben had promised to help his sister with her project. But his friends invited him to the park. He really wanted to go. He told his sister he would help later. He went to the park. He had fun. When he came home his sister was upset. She had needed his help. She had to finish the project alone. Ben felt terrible. He had broken his promise. He went to her room. He said he was sorry. He said he should have helped first. His sister was still hurt. But she said she would forgive him. Ben decided he would never do that again. When you make a promise you keep it. Perhaps his friends could have waited. Or he could have said he had to help his sister first. Ben had learned something important. Keeping your word matters. He helped his sister with her next project. She was surprised and happy. Ben felt better. The adventure of being a good brother had just begun.
