Economics trade happens when people or countries exchange goods and services. For example, if a farmer grows apples and another person makes shoes, they can trade apples for shoes. This way, both people get what they want! Trade can happen locally, like at a farmers' market, or between countries, like when the United States sells cars to Japan in exchange for electronics. Trade helps everyone because it allows people to get different things without having to make everything themselves. It also helps countries to work together and share their resources.
