Subtracting fractions with the same denominator is simple! When the bottom number (denominator) is the same, you only need to subtract the top numbers (numerators). For example, if you have 5/8 and you want to subtract 2/8, you keep the 8 the same and subtract the 2 from 5. So, 5 - 2 equals 3, and you write it over the same denominator. This gives you 3/8. Remember, the denominator stays the same because youโ€™re comparing parts of the same whole.
