The water cycle is the journey water takes as it moves from the ground to the sky and back again. It starts when the sun heats up water in rivers, lakes, and oceans, causing it to evaporate into water vapor. This vapor rises into the air and cools down, turning back into tiny droplets to form clouds. When the clouds get heavy, they release the droplets as precipitation, like rain or snow. This water then flows back into rivers and lakes, or soaks into the ground, completing the cycle. For example, after it rains, you might see puddles that eventually dry up because of the sunโ€™s heat, starting the cycle again.
