Comparing decimals helps us understand which numbers are larger or smaller. When comparing decimals, look at the digits from left to right. Start with the whole number part, then move to the tenths, hundredths, and so on. For example, to compare 0.75 and 0.8, first look at the tenths place. The 0.8 has an 8 in the tenths place, while 0.75 has a 7. Since 8 is greater than 7, we know that 0.8 is larger than 0.75. Remember, when the whole number parts are the same, the decimal parts help you decide which is bigger!
