The Industrial Revolution was a time of great change that began in the late 1700s. During this period, new machines and factories were built, which changed how things were made. For example, before the Industrial Revolution, people often made clothes by hand. But with the invention of the spinning jenny and power loom, clothes could be made much faster in factories. This meant that more people could buy clothes at lower prices. The Industrial Revolution also helped people move from farms to cities to work in these new factories, leading to big changes in how people lived and worked.
