Long multiplication is a method used to multiply larger numbers. To do this, you write the numbers one below the other, starting with the larger number on top. Then, you multiply each digit of the bottom number by the entire top number, one digit at a time. For example, if you want to multiply 23 by 4, you would first multiply 4 by 3, which equals 12. You write down 2 and carry over 1. Next, multiply 4 by 2, which equals 8, and add the carried 1, making 9. So, 23 times 4 equals 92!
