Patterns and rules help us find order in numbers and shapes. A pattern is a sequence that repeats or follows a specific rule. For example, consider the pattern of even numbers: 2, 4, 6, 8. In this case, the rule is adding 2 each time. We can also see patterns in shapes, like triangles, squares, and circles arranged in a row. Recognizing patterns allows us to predict what comes next. If we continue the even number pattern, the next number would be 10. Understanding patterns and rules makes solving math problems easier and more fun!
