Learned behaviors are actions that animals or humans develop through experience and practice. Unlike instinctive behaviors, which are automatic and inherited, learned behaviors are shaped by the environment and interactions. For example, a dog can learn to sit on command by receiving treats as rewards when it follows the command. Over time, the dog associates sitting with getting a treat, so it becomes more likely to sit when asked. This process is called conditioning. In this way, learned behaviors help animals adapt to their surroundings and improve their chances of survival.
